    Default JVM1790CK01 Vent fan is on always and inside light does not come on

    Model Number: JVM1790CK01
    Brand: GE
    Age: 6-10 years

    both the vent fan running always and the inside light not coming on happened at the same time. Microwave still heats ok.

    Sounds like a board issue. The vent motor relay and the lamp relay are right next to each other on the board. Look for something obvious like a burn mark.
