    Default LG WM2101HW no power

    Model Number: WM2101HW
    Brand: LG
    Age: 1-5 years

For a couple of weeks my washing machine would sometimes get stuck at 9 minutes left. It would spin but never finish. Sometimes it would eventually give me an error UL. Which I believe means Uneven Load. I tried moving things around and stuff but nothing really fixed the issue.
About a couple months after this, the unit would not power on at all. Tried different things to try and get power back to it. I ended up buying a new motherboard for the unit. I replaced it and it started working for 2 days. Again would still get stuck at around 9 minutes.
Then it stopped working again. No power.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions what it might be causing this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

I haven't worked on this model as of yet, but I did locate the service manual here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1RH...Zj5I6yiTztXd-g

I don't see a error code UL, I see error code UE.

Look on page 21 of the service manual where it says NO POWER, it tells you what to check for.

Here's the parts diagram for your model: LG Washer WM2101HW Repair Parts

Ok so looks like the board is dead again. Seems like something is causing the board to die. I don't see anything in the manual about the washer getting stuck on a cycle.
I guess maybe its time for a new washer. Any recommendations on a good front loader. Or a brand you think will last a while?

I recommend Kenmore models starting with model number 110 which is made by Whirlpool, that's what I own and it works great.

Also I recommend the Whirlpool brand itself, Maytag, Amana, Speed Queen.

I have run into issues with my front loading LG washer over the past year. Sometimes when I power it on, it just blinks and beeps... but won't do anything. Today it would not power on at all. For anyone having the same problem, this is how we fixed it:

Unplug washer. While unplugged, press the Power button and the Start button at the same time and hold for 30 seconds. This resets the washer. Plug back in, and it should work. If this doesn't work, then there is probably a faulty part or something else that needs to be repaired.
