Default LG Double Oven LDE3017ST - always on broil

    Model Number: LDE3017ST
    Brand: LG
    Age: 6-10 years

Hi, the top oven in my LG only broils now. Has anyone ever seen this and have any ideas what the problem could be? The bottom oven works fine. Thank you!

    Hi,

So when you set the upper oven on bake 350 degrees it stays set but no heat from the bake element?

If that's the case, you either have a bad bake element, or your bake relay board that tells the bake element to come on is bad.

You'd need to pull your range out from the wall, then unplug it. Then remove the back access panel and locate your bake element terminals and use a multimeter to ohm test the bake element.

Here's the video to show you how to ohm test it: Bake/Broil Element Testing Video

Unfortunately, the bake element is No Longer Available for your model. If your bake element ohm tests good, then the relay board is the problem.

Here's the relay board for your model: EBR64624802 Pcb Assembly, main
