LG Washer WM2650HWA Won't fill on Pre-Wash
Brand:
LG
Age:
6-10 years
I'm pretty dumbfounded by this. I've changed the pressure switch, cold water inlet valve & control board. There is a test mode on this machine that I've accessed and all the cycles work except the pre-wash fill. Main & hot fills work. Any wisdom you can throw my way is much appreciated.

Hi Joe,
I couldn't locate the tech. data sheet or service manual for this model, sorry.
Hopefully another tech. that's seen this problem can shed some light on it for us.

Fixed. The dispenser drawer housing was all gunked up from our central Texas hard water. The pre-wash inlet line on the box/manifold was 100% clogged. We pulled the entire component & cleaned it up. Washer is working like a charm. Moral of the story: Check ALL water supply lines & inlets for obstructions before changing out parts.
By the way, I lived in the Valley of the Sun for 21 years. My daughter still lives in Laveen. I'd like to get back sometime. There's nothing like the Sonoran Desert.

Excellent Joe, good find, glad to hear that's all it was.
Thanks for the update!
Yes, I'm 80 miles west of Buckeye, AZ. Laveen is not too far from Buckeye.
This is the time of year to come before the heat sets back in for the late spring and summer.
