Kenmore model 790 range (ceramic top)
This range a has touch control pad. Teh temperatures and other settings can be activated by a small child or animal. Our cat actually hit the broil button, but the oven did not come on since the "up temp" button was not pushed. Is there a safety feature to prevent this?

We will need the full model# to see. Its located on the bottom of your range when you pull out the storage drawer.
