At first it took repeated attempts to turn the elements on but now they wont turn on at all. all center panel functions work (oven, warmer tray, light, etc). please advise if there is a specific thread here.

Hi,

I'm not familiar with these induction models.

But this model is similar to yours:

It may be the filter board on yours that failed too:

These boards are very expensive.

Thanks, just seems odd that everything else except the range elements work. Tried replacing the range control board, part #316442056. No difference.

Sear Parts direct is suggesting that the oven temp sensor, part number 316217002, needs to be replaced. Does this make sense to you? Thanks.

Possibly, but you will need to ohm test it first.

You can ohm test the oven temperature sensor probe with a multimeter, normal reading would be between 1050-1100 ohms at room temperature. Turn your breaker off first to your oven before you do anything.

To get to the oven temperature sensor you would need to pull your range out(you may need someone to help you, as these are very heavy) and take off the back access panel, then you will see the plastic connector that unsnaps to it.

Here's the oven temperature sensor probe for your model:

Watch this video to ohm test it:

You need to make sure you have fresh batteries in your meter.:)
