Recently our water flow has been weak in the door. We also noticed that the ice production has been less. We live in the country so we are on well water. There is a lot of rust in our water. We have changed the water filter in the fridge. Because that did not seem to help, we decided to also change the tubing from the water source to the refrigerator. That did not seem to make a difference either. Any ideas on what else this could be?

There is a lot of rust in our water.
Disconnect the water supply line from the water valve. Disconnect the wires and the plastic line from the valve a remove the valve. Look inside the connection on the water valve. There's a small screen inside and it's probably full of rust. Use a piece of wire and running water to clean it out. Don't attempt to disassemble the valve or it will leak. Hold the water supply line over a pail and check the water pressure.

If the pressure is good reconnect the supply line to the valve and connect the wires. Hold the valve over the pail and press the dispenser. Check the pressure out of the valve. Pressure good, reconnect the plastic line and disconnect the water line from the "water out" side of the water filter housing connector. Check the pressure.
