Hello all! New to this form and looking for help!

Just moved into my house a year ago and ice make in the fridge worked up until a month ago. Just stopped making ice? The following is what I've checked

Proved water line to ice maker clear.
Hairdryer to inlet to try and thaw
Thought it was water valve ordered new and installed
Manually spun wheel to "call for water"

When i manually turn gear wheel should this put into service mode? If so I thought arm would continue to rise so it would call for water and my tray would fill. Arm starts to raise but when I stop manually turning it does as well?

Any help is much appreciated!

Hi Devan,

When you turn your ice maker gear does it continue to rotate on its own when you let go of it?

If not, use a multimeter between the BLACK and YELLOW wires where it plugs into your electrical connector you should have 120 volts. If so, and now your ice maker won't cycle, then your ice maker is bad. And you will need to order a new ice maker.

Here's the ice maker for your model:

Checked the voltage and have 120V going to the ice maker and the lever does not continue to rise when I start turning it. This means the ice maker is bad and I need a new one correct? Again thanks for the help!

(y) You nailed it.

Order and replace the ice maker and you'll be back in business.
