The motor coupler had failed in May 2022, basically it had ground to dust.

Previous owner had not leveled the washer which possibly contributed to the coupler failing.

Leveled the machine and replaced the coupler, ran fine for 6 months.

This week, on the spin cycle only, there is an immediate squealing\grinding\banging noise that is constant through the spin cycle.

The agitation cycle has no issue.

I removed the inner tub and there's no foreign objects between the inner and outer tub.

Could it be worn transmission? A bearing? A clutch?

I've attached a video of the noise on spin cycle (WARNING - LOUD) - also, not sure why it attached 3 times

Any suggestions appreciated

Thanks!
Stan

Hi Stan,

Yes, that's usually a bad clutch.

AL46001 doesn't pull up as good, please recheck your model number, it should be under the lid.

Thanks Jake!

I’ve attached a photo of the serial number, maybe it’s an oddball.

Will it be tricky to figure out which clutch to order?

Ok, I see now, this is a Canadian only model, which I can't pull up any information on at all.

Its best to go to your local appliance parts store and they can likely assist you further.
