Hello. I have this GE model fridge that I got from my parents, I plugged it in & the freezer and fridge are both cooling but NOT getting their correct temperatures. I have the freezer set to -6 degrees (F) & it’s sitting around 22 degrees (F). The refrigerator is set to 36 degrees (F) & it’s sitting around only 50 degrees (F). I’ve watched a few videos on YouTube on what it could be, but I’m completely lost. It could be the coils or the fans? I’d figure to reach out for help before deciding to spend BUNCHES on having someone come out and service.

Pull the refrigerator out from the wall, then remove the lower back access panel and see if the compressor and condenser fan motor, that mounts next to the compressor are both running.

Make sure the fans inside are running too.
