HAVE a Amana ref model AFI2538AEQ it needs the main board in back all lights in front are flashing
ref still cools but ice dispenser flapper is opening up every 5 seconds i put new board in everything fine
except it wont program i get to where you hold the freezer down button to confirm and after 3 seconds it
beeps saying i have wrong code i do not have wrong code its 2012 its either wrong on the tag or maybe bad new
board anyone else have this problem

Where did you get the board at? You must buy a NEW OEM board or the programming will not work period!

done this repair many times got board at Marcone Appliance Parts this is 1st time ive had issues tried it serveal times per tech
sheet it says i have wrong code in i do not have wrong code in

Then the board is defective, have them exchange it for another new one.

found out what was wrong for this model there is more than one board that you can order there is one up to serial #13 and one for 13 and above the
the board that jake has above is the one i ordered as from marcone parts break down they only give ;you one option and thats the one jake posted whirlpool
tech line gave me a differnt code to put in there to get the ref to run but everything works except the icemaker so i will have to order the correct board thanks for your hep
