I'm trying to repair a Jenn-Air gas range but I am having trouble with the gas plumbing to the orifice holders.

I started replacing the orifice holders because the mounting screws were corroded. But the connection for some would not become tight. Now I am faced with either making new tubes or buying them.

My questions are
What type of flange is it that is on the ends of these tubes?
What are the instructions for making these connections? It seemed like when I tried to increase the torque on one to make a tight connection, that it became looser. So maybe I deformed that flange by over-torquing it.

I have plumbed many systems and made a lot of gas connections in my history (mostly compression fittings on specialized hydrogen/oxygen systems), so I'm up to doing the work myself. I just can't find any information on what type of connection this is and what the instructions are for torque.

Inverted flare but it looks specialized. I can't tell if a flaring tool would work or not. If you have a flaring tool and some scrap aluminum tubing, give it a shot. Sorry
