Thermostat is turned up all the way. I cycled the defrost timer. Everything seems to be running. Condenser fan and compressor are running. No sign of frosted coils. Coils aren't horribly dirty.

Yes, you have a sealed system problem, see how it looks like the photo I posted above at the top right side?

The sealed system consists of the compressor, condenser, evaporator, heat exchanger, filter/drier and refrigerant. Common problems with a sealed system are bad compressors, refrigerant leaks, and system restrictions. Sealed system repair costs will often exceed the machines value.
