I have an older Amana DRS2660BC side by side. I have it outside. It had been running perfectly until a storm came through. It is on a GFCI circuit. After the storm, whenever I went to plug it in, it would trip the GFCI. So I did some digging and decided to replace the starter relay and capacitor. When I did this, the lights came on, but the fan and compressor were not working. So I did some more digging. I found the Drefrost timer and advanced it, and it immediately tripped the GFCI again. Any suggestions on what to do next? Could it be the Derfost timer that needs to be replaced?

Appreciate the help.

Plug it into a non-GFI and see if it works. Almost every manufacturer recommends not using a GFI circuit. Any moisture on a wire will trip a GFI outlet.

Tried that and nothing...I’m pretty sure I fried the windings on the compressor. My wife’s uncle has the tools for us to check it, so gonna go that route. Thanks so much
