Hello and thanks for looking.....my dryer stopped working abruptly. control panel lights up as it should but no response when start is pressed. I replaced the electronics control panel located over drum-did not fix. i can run in full diagnostics mode and everything passes. I can even initiate a manual run and the tumbler spins and dryer heats up and runs until i stop the test. door test passes and dryer will run in test mode. thanks

Hi,

Checked the thermal fuse?
Checked the thermistor?

The thermistor should read approximately 11.9K Ohms of resistance at 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius).

I replaced the electronics control panel located over drum-did not fix

This one?

yes that is the board i replaced. just checked the thermal fuse ( did not remove it, but did remove the leads. does that make a difference?). it has continuity. I had a repair guy out and after about reading the troubleshooting guide he said he thought it was the actual user control panel (start button to be exact) because I can run the machine in test mode (tumbles and heats). not sure if the test mode by passes all the saftey features like the thermal fuse. thanks for responding...I am in a pickle, dryer has been down for three weeks.

As long as the wires where off, that is good enough to test it as you don't have to remove it from the dryer for testing.

Often does.

Won’t start cycle when Start button is pressed.
1.If number display flashes, check to be sure the door is completely shut, and press and hold down Start for about 1 second.
2.See TEST #3, page 5.
3.See TEST #7, page 9.
See attached.
