Washer will sometimes just not rinse when it gets to the rinse part, of course that holds up the whole cycle. Sometimes it will also stop during the fill.

I can hear the pump draining the water during the drain portion of the cycle so that part is fine.

Agitator is fine.

It spins fine (tough there is a bit of a delay before the spin actually starts).

Here are some videos showing what I mean when I say water just keeps stopping on its own.

At a loss on this one, solenoid on the cold inlet could be bad maybe? I'm gonna try turning it to hot water and starting a cycle to see if it's both solenoids that are bad or just the cold water one. It won't stop shutting the valve after a few seconds as shown in the video. So thought maybe it could be the autofill sensor thinking its full an stopping early? I had the washer full of water and the tube was still empty coming up from the back to the control board. Might need to open the main back part and disconnect the tube from both ends and blow it out.

Thoughts?

Try this on HOT too and see if does the same thing.

If you leave the lid down after it stops filling what does it do next? Just sit there forever and never advance through the rest of the cycle?

Here's the water inlet valve for your model, if needed: Water Inlet Valve W11210463

Ok so I tried to just run a regular cycle on cold (little hot water, mostly cold water) and of course it filled fine this time. Then this started happening when it got to the wash portion, agitator is weak:

Hey it picked up some speed:

After this it just sat with the wash light on the lid locked light on, it's still like that actually and it's been about 30 minutes. Will update if anything else happens.

Update: Switched over to rinse next, no water actually started coming out until I paused it, opened the lid, and closed the lid again. It didn't shut off though after so that's good. Waiting to see what's next, I'm wondering if it spins if the agitator is that weak.

Update 2: Got to the final spin and it was spinning. However, when I paused it to take a look inside, usually you wait until it stops and then the lid unlocks. Now though, it stopped spinning completely and the lid remained locked. Solid 10 minutes it was just locked with no RPM when I went back to check on it. so I unplugged it and replugged it in, canceled the cycle, and called it a day.

Ok, I see the problem per those last 2 videos.

Usually it's the shift actuator that is the culprit.(there are videos in the threads below)

Your model uses the exact same shift actuator:

There is a video in the shift actuator part link that shows you how to replace it.

Ok so that was both kind of it and not it seems. It fixed some of the minor quirks but the agitator is still not lookin' good and it's doing some different things.

The agitator is moving slightly more now:

It's making this weird periodic squeak sound while it's filling:

It actually made this sound while it was doing nothing during the wash cycle for a minute. It sounded like it was trying to do something mechanical when it squeaks but I don't know what.

During the wash cycle it sounded like it was just switching from agitation to filling with water back and forth for a bit.

It's spinning, but man it was spinning itself crazy at the beginning and bumping stuff until it settled down to this:

My test load might have just been not even.

Here's something weird though, when I went to change out the shifter, there was this weird second plastic loop hanging out behind the on the shifter hooks into. Idk if that signifies anything but here's that:

For reference, here's what the underside of my working washer look like, no mysterious plastic loop:

So yeah back to the drawing board on this, agitator is still not 100%, random plastic loop by the shifter...idk what its deal is. So close though.

Ok, Yes I see videos. Thanks!

It looks like the plastic piece on the splutch is broken.

Here's the splutch cam kit for your model:

Video included in part link.

Also when its spinning I can hear the bearing that's gone bad too.

Here's the transmission(gearcase) for your model:

Your Amana washer is made by Whirlpool.

This video shows you how to replace it:
