Greetings and Happy Holiday's!
I have a Dacor DO130 wall oven, and the other day experienced a loud pop and electrical flash. It looked like it came from the oven compartment. I removed and tested both the broiler element and the convection element, and both were good. I then removed the control panel, and found that a spade connector on the power control board had melted completely out of the board. It is the L1A connector on the board, which according to the schematic, originates at the 240v power supply, routes to a buss bar, then goes to several connectors on the power control board, presumably to power the various elements. There are 2 power relays in the L1A circuit, which seems to operate the broiler and bake elements.
I ordered a new power control board, but don't want to install it until I'm sure of the origin of the failure. Could the failure of a power relay cause this, or was this the result of a failure somewhere else in the circuit?
Thanks!
