Guys, I'm about to install a new Bosch dishwasher and I worry about hoses leaking. The instructions say on the hose package to finger tight the connection plus 1/4 turn.... But is that enough? Also how tight do I install that 3/4 connection to plastic dishwasher water inlet? Do I need to use tools to tighten it or just my fingers?.... Also when I turn the water supply on and there are no leaks is that enough to make sure that there will be no leaks or do I actually need to run a dishwasher to check it.... I don't worry too much about the drain hose. What do you guys think?

No, that is odd it says finger tight, I always use a wrench to make sure its wrench tight.

Run the dishwasher and check for any leaks.

I think I didn't explain it properly... Finger tight plus 1/4 turn with a wrench for the 3/8 hose connections. So do I have to actually run it to see for hose leaks or just turning water supply on to dishwasher is enough to check for leaks? The only connection on the hose that does not have a way for wrench to grip it is the 3/4 connection. Do I just hand tight that 3/4 connection then?

Ok, that's better.:)

No, you only need to run the dishwasher to make sure the drain hose doesn't leak.

he only connection on the hose that does not have a way for wrench to grip it is the 3/4 connection. Do I just hand tight that 3/4 connection then?
Yes, that would be correct, since there's no way for a wrench to grip it.
