I have a SHE65T55UC/02 model bought 8 years ago and connected via junction box. Recently it started giving E15 error. I run a cycle and 5-6 hours later it gives an E15 error. The error goes away if I don't use the machine for a few days and let it dry but comes back after I run another cycle. Tried to find a repairman but no one around me knows how to fix Bosch machines. So now I'm planning to get a new Bosch machine and no one knows if the existing junction box will work with the new 100 series machine I'm planning to get. So my question is are the junction boxes the same or the newer machines need a different / newer junction box?

Additional info - The retailer will install the new machine to an existing junction box but says if I need a new junction box or want to use the 3 prong outlet I'll need to hire a licensed electrician and pay a few hundred dollars for that service.

Let's see if you can try to identify the problem causing that error code first because it might be a simple fix. The service manual for your current model was posted here: https://www.applianceblog.com/mainf...h-dishwasher-service-manual.83433/post-426256

What's the model number of the dishwasher you are considering so I can look up the part number? Your current dishwasher uses junction box part #00752018.

Someone reported, if drain hose is attatched to garbage disposal, that debris flushing back into the drainage hose clogged passage way.

Disconnect drainage hose and place into a 5 gallon bucket, and run a rinse cycle. You may need to pull out the dishwasher to give room for rerouting hose and bucket from sink.

Also check the filter pickup when screen is removed. Any build up needs removed. There is a procedure to open up the pump cavity.

There can be need to check the machine is level, after reinstalling, if unlevel, this can happen as well.

If the dishwasher was builtin by contractor, the electricals should be up to standards. A junction box is a junction box, though from the Bosch details, their junction box has a pig tail. If need be the electrician can make the power cord into a pigtail by splicing into existing junction box. No need to order, IMO, unless the contractor had shady buisness deals going on.

We are considering either SHEM3AY55N or SHX84AAF5N

That's an old service manual. Today's Bosch machines are different. They started updates to the machines we have now back in 2019. So looks for 2019 on up manual.
