Hello to all on the forum. I am a new member with a Bosch Dishwasher problem. The dishwasher seems to clean well and cycles without problem. My problem is a high pitch squell that occurs about half way through the cycle. It almost sounds like a belt is slipping. I also have some water left in the well below the strainer screen after the cycle is complete. Not much but some. Is this normal? The Dishwasher is about three years old. The squell is very annoying. Can someone give me some direction?

Thanks in advance for any help you all can give me.

Hi,

** Can someone give me some direction?**

Left! ;)

Normal yes.

So far, (JMO!) approx 9 times out of 10 this is a sour wash motor...other0.9 times has been something caught in the wash motor and 0.1 has been the drain pump.

Jeff, thanks for the reply. I will turn left and not worry about the water left in the well. How about that sour motor? I assume you mean it needs to be cleaned. Should I run some type of cleaning solution through the dishwasher?

G'day,

**How about that sour motor?**

Usually is a noise comming right from the wash motor itself. I'd definetly check for anything under the screeens or such, but failing that the motor -usually- needs to be changed ( if that is where the noise is comming from ). With the lower access panal off you might get a better idea where that noise is comming from.
