FIXED Bosch Leaking Dishwasher

Thanks mpadburg!

I too have registered in appreciation of your post from 2007! Problem started when my daughter moved back home. She uses the thin cutting boards, which (now obviously) randomly get placed on the RH side, blocking the port that I didn't even know was there!

Ok, I too thought that the problem was solved, but not so soon.....I ran it on empty and it still leaks at the btm of the door. It is not the float (which I replaced several months ago) since the DW is empty. I unscrewed the vent thing on the Right side of the interior and inspected it, nothing seems blocked in there. What now? My model #is SHE55MO6UC/50

I think I have solved the leaky door problem for my Bosch dishwasher, anyway. Take a sponge and soak it with vinegar and rub around all the calcium build-up around the door's sides where it meets the rubber seals and then squeeze the excess vinegar into the valve/hole on the right side. Do this a dozen times or so as you use your dishwasher over the course of several weeks. That should help remove any calcium build-up. I also moved the utensil container to the back and only stack small plates in front of the valve/hole on the right side, not sure if this matters, I just got in the habit while looking for a solution. I haven't had a leak in 6 months.

Registered just to say "Thank you"!
We are also among the people owning an IKEA floppy cutting board, experiencing intermittent leakage from the door of our Bosch dishwasher.
Husband loads cutting board on the right, I on the left! :)
Never had leakage problems until we bought the cutting boards a year ago. It only happened a few times, because I load the dishwasher a lot more than my husband does, and we were just about to give up on this dishwasher, and buy a new one.
It's 14 years old, but nothing wrong with it otherwise.
