• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

Hey everyone, turn the microwave on, runs for two seconds and then cuts out. Power is still on, just cuts out. This happened after someone accidently ran it for 20 minutes with nothing in it, instead of using the timer function for 20 minutes. Less than a year ago the magnetron was replaced because it had the classic bosch microwave problem where it would run for 10 seconds and cut out. Any suggestions?
