Well, this was probably the easiest fix I've done in a long time. Replaced a ~10 year old Kitchenaid due to sealed system failure with a Bosch. My other posts here were on that model.

This model has two fridge doors on top and freezer on bottom. It is only a couple months old. It makes nice crushed ice, but stopped crushing it.

I found one blog where this model was ONLY making crushed ice, so not a lot to go on. I took the bucket out and checked the back. All looked fine. Then I noticed a small amount of ice buildup on the exit from the maker to the chute. On a closer look the buildup was larger as it went up. I took a flathead screwdriver and knocked it off - voila! Did I really need to say "when it works" it makes nice crushed ice. And, yes "this was probably the easiest fix I've done in a long time" means that removing the rogue frozen ice fixed the problem.
