Problem with Bosch dishwasher leaking from somewhere underneath the unit.

Just started leaking during the last cycle, puddling out onto the floor.

Shut off the unit, some leaking continued (with water source turned off) and eventually stopped.

Turned the water source back on....and no leaking.

But I'm sure it will start leaking again once I try to start a new cycle.

I'll be sliding it out tonight to try to see what is going on.

Can you point me in the right direction on what I should be looking for?

Hi,

Many bosch d/w's ( your included ) have a basin under the d/w....the leak can occur at the begeinning of the cycle and fill up the basin and then show up on the floor....don't be fooled by when you see the water.

I'll be sliding it out tonight to try to see what is going on
Try the lower access panals first and have a flash light ready....if pulled out, the side panals will likely need to be removed to see anything.

Leak Found

I just got done.

Leak was due to a crack in a short (about 12 inch) plastic hose located on the front left bottom of the machine (behind the access panel).

I had repaired a different location on the same hose with electrical tape a few years ago. There are two bends in the hose, and now both bends have a crack.

Its a very brittle hose. Seems like a poor choice of materials.

Anyway, I tightly wrapped the entire hose in electrical tape and reinstalled and ordered a replacement hose.

Although I may stick with the repaired hose, as my tape repair job seems to be more durable than the hose itself!
