My 3 year old cafe´ Induction range top stopped working correctly. (The oven is fine) Using the usual cookware it will heat for about 10 seconds then just shut down. Tried the Hestan "precision" cookware too, no joy. Even pulled the battery from the pan in case that was causing an issue. First acted up while boiling a pot of water fan started running more than usual then shut down. Was able to finish cooking using different burner. But now, nada. Tried turning the breaker off for 5-10 minutes,no help. The wifi connection is up. In the SmartHq app I can see the controls and it shows the percentage of the knob setting then it just shuts off.
Doing some searching It seems like the Induction Control unit may need replacing. WB27X30357. A bit pricy but I did find one. Does anyone have a service manual? or disassembly guide?

Also throwing error codes f630 and f640 which i guess makes sense. Generator boards missing communication to oven machine control?

Hi,

I couldn't locate the service manual for your model, hopefully another tech. or member that has it can share it with you here.

Thanks for trying. I was able to just wing it. I followed the instructions in the mini manual, then just took lots of pictures. Man that's a lot of work. really struggled getting that vent trim in the back to go on correctly. Any idea how to clear out the Error codes?

Not that I saw. It describes how to view them and exit. Also how to place in service mode. I’ll check again

That's odd. I haven't worked on this model as of yet, so unless the tech. data sheet(mini-manual) says, I don't know either.

Hi Joe, I've got the same model, also 3 yrs old and just developed the same problem that you described. Did replacing the induction control unit fix the issue?

Yes replacing that board did fix the issue. Still
Seems like a very expensive fix though. Good luck!

That's reassuring! I agree, a very expensive fix for a new range, it's hard to imagine buying a replacement though. Would you be able to share any manuals, pics or notes on replacing the induction control unit? I haven't been able to find much yet and any info would be appreciated.

Sourcing the part was the hardest , they were back ordered everywhere. I just followed the instructions in the mini manual found in the pouch on the back for disassembly. It’s pretty straightforward. Take pictures along the way so you get all the connections right.
