The unit is not cleaning the dish load. I ran a test and the water seems to be tap warm. Customer states the detergent door doesn’t open some cycles so they put the pod in the bottom which doesn’t dissolve. I can not find any technical information or test procedures for the ecu on this model. My intention is to test the heating unit and the signal from the ecu. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I couldn't locate the tech data sheet or repair manual for this model John.

Sorry, I can't help you on this one. Are you a GE authorized tech?

Usually the tech. data sheet is on the bottom of the dishwasher tub frame legs, you can check for it there.

31-4000209 mini manual is the tech document you're looking for. I don't have it in my files either.

Your dishwasher heater is integral with the main wash motor WD19X25702. There are two electrical connectors that motor. Check the heater for for 8 ~ 16 Ohms resistance. Obviously if you have no resistance something has shorted out internally and if you have infinite resistance, the heater itself is burned out.

Thank you, I am hearing from other technicians that if the rinse agent is not filled on GE dishwashers the heater will not come on. Have you experienced this to be true?
