• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

This is a new problem that started this morning.
I closed the microwave door following warming up something for the kids and i hear the sound coming from the microwave, i open the microwave and it is hot. The heating element for the Convection heating is turning on when the door is closed. the only way i can make this stop is to have the microwave door open or turn off the breaker to the microwave. Other than this the microwave performs as it should. Last year i did have to replace the door switch, but this is definitely a new problem. It is a fire risk if left alone so at present the breaker is off.

Anyone else come across a similar issue?

Corrected model number

CBE1590SS2SS does not pull up as good, please recheck your model number, even better would be to take a photo of your model number tag on the machine and upload it here.

Then you will see a link that says: How to find a model number.

My Apologies,
CEB1590SS2SS "dyslexic typo"

if it is not financially worth it to fix it (based on age and repair complexity) any recommendations on other models that will fit the trim kit i have for this model?

Thanks!

I need to ask Rick what he thinks, he's much better at Microwaves than I am.
