I have a Maytag MHW5500FC0 front loading washer and am trying to figure the best way to access the drain pump and filter. I've seen three different videos.
One had the guy taking off the top panel, the control panel, and a bunch of other stuff, so screw that!
The next had the guy removing the back panel. Ok, that'll be some work getting the machine away from the wall in my extremely tight laundry "room"
The third had a guy tipping the machine backwards and accessing the pump assembly from the bottom.
Which is best? If tipping backwards to access from below, will gravity work against me in allowing all the trapped water out? If not, then this would definitely be the easiest access. If it would not drain fully this way, then that would lead me to having to access from the back of the machine.
Thank you in advance for any insights.
