We moved our Samsung convection oven out of the kitchen in order to lay new floors. When we moved it back, the control panel would not light up and clock and oven would not work. However, the stove is working. We replaced the control board ($100) thinking that a bad circuit breaker may have blown the board, but still no digital display/clock/controls. Not sure how to proceed. Oven is only 4-5 years old.

Hi,

Checked for power to the range?
220-240 volts AC black to red.
110-120 volts AC black or red to white.

Power coming in to range is good. Stovetop is working. Oven/digital controls not working. Can the ribbon cable on the board affect clock/digital controls and oven?

Checked for sure? The elements only need the powers to operate but the clock also needs the neutral.

Scanned the diagram ... hoping that you can open it. I believe the "I" may be an "eye" not a number 1. It's difficult to read.

Looking back at the voltage test, it looks like on the terminal block where the power comes in to the stove we get:

black to red 240
black to white -- nothing
white to red -- digital clock & control panel flashes on and off.

You have an open/loose white wire somewhere....could be in the house panel, cord plug outlet....good catch!

Ok... we'll try tracing the white wire. Maybe buying a new 3 wire power cord at local depot?

Only if it proves to be bad.....I'd check the white in the house coming from the breaker/fuse box to the outlet plug first.

We check the breaker box again, and you were right! Loose connection from multiple contractors removing the panel. Oven is now working! Thank you!
