Not sure if this is the best place to find an answer on this but I thought I would give it a shot.
I have a Crathco 3312 frozen drink machine and it was working fine and then it would not freeze. I thought that it might be low on freon, 404a, but when I hooked up the gauges I get a high pressure on the low side and a low pressure on the high side, yes they are hooked up correctly. Then today I turned it one and the compressor kicked in so I checked the gauges and the pressure was where it needed to be and it started cooling but never froze. The compressor sound bad, how can I tell if the compressor is bad?

thanks

If that is in fact true, the only way that could occur is with a restriction in the sealed system.

A "bad compressor" could not account for those other stated results.

Had it been servcoied previously? If so, I'd suggest complete evacuation, replacement of the filter, an extended period on a vacuum pump dryer and then recharging.
