I have a GE CYE23TSDCSS French Door Counter Depth refrigerator, I recently had to replace the inverter for the compressor. Since then, the following functions no longer work:
no water through the door
no hot water through the door
no ice being made
the flapper doesn’t operate, nor does the auger.

I have tested the inlet valve and it reads 409 ohms.
Any idea of what the problem is?

So before you replaced the compressor inverter those parts worked fine?

If so, then you must of left a electrical connection loose, it doesn't make sense all those go out after you replace the inverter.

Recheck all your electrical connections.

Yes sir everything worked before the inverter replacement except I’m not sure about hot water.
i checked the wiring and I have some pictures I’m going to post below.
First picture is of the inverter to compressor connection.
Next is the inverter to the refrigerator connection.
The next three pictures are of the paddle, as you can see the light tuns on each time the paddle is pushed in.
The next two show the ice maker is on and the temperature.
Next for some reason the dispenser is locked.
The last picture shows service code 712.

This has me stumped because I don’t see any water in the semi clear cold water tank and ice isn’t being made.
Any idea of what would cause this problem?

That is very odd, why did you replace the compressor inverter to begin with? Was the compressor not coming on at all?

Here's the service manual for your model: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1f6rviBx_w9Kit76wb6G8b9yjfdh-fAZ8/view?usp=sharing

Error 712 says Hot Water Cup Switch Input present and no dispense message is received, so that explains about your hot water issue, but does not explain about this other issue you are having now after you replaced the compressor inverter.

Put the original compressor inverter back in place and see if those new problems go away.

If so, that means something is wrong with that new compressor inverter.

Here's the compressor inverter board for your model:

The inverter was replaced because the compressor stopped running and it had no output. Unfortunately I threw the old inverter board away after it was up and running for a couple days, but before water was connected back to the unit. Do you believe that the new inverter board is bad?

That's the only explanation for this issue that I can think off. I've replaced many GE compressor inverters and never had this issue before.

OK, thanks for all of your input. Anyone else care to comment on this thread? If not, I’m going to request a RMA.

The inverter has been replaced with another brand new GE part number WR87X29409 and the same problems still exist, any idea on what the problem is?

Time to call GE to come out to see what's going on, this is very "out of the norm" problem I've not seen yet.
