Hi All,

Figured I post this since I just ran into this problem and it was a no brainer once I used this site to track the issue down in a previous thread I read. So here is the a little DIY I created, I would rank this a 2 out of 10 on the difficulty scale.

Problem: Grinding noise only when the cycle is activated. (IE - anytime anything spins)
Solution: Replace the washer drain pump! (cheapest solution and it worked!)

Washing machine Model: Maytag MAV5000AWW
Total time spent 10minutes + 10minutes looking for my screw I dropped. So technically 10minutes but could take longer. =)

Tools Needed:
Combination Screw Driver 11-1
Channellock
Putty Knife
10mm Socket with Extension

Drain Pump WP35-6465
