Hello!

We have a DLE2516W LG Dryer, and it seems to be taking longer and longer for things to dry. The lint trap has been cleaned, and I checked the hose to the exit vent as well, and things don't seem to be clogged up. What might I try next? could things be clogged up internally? Is it time for a new heating element?

Thank you!
Bill

Try drying a normal load with the vent hose disconnected from the machine. Measure the temperature at the vent. (a meat thermometer will work). Measure the resistance of the thermistor At room temperature or 70 degrees F your meter should indicate 11.7K ohms. At 150 degrees F your meter should indicate 2.5K Ohms.
