My LG dryer (serial 508KWNM0M719) completes with cloth still being wet. So after some troubleshooting I pulled the moisture sensor out cleaned it well, sanded the surface, thoroughly cleaned the entire dryer lint cavity during this step and put it back. Now my dryer does not stop drying. It stays at like 5 mins or 1 min and keeps spinning. The cloths gets too hot. I stop it manually and run the air dryer settings for 5-10 minutes before taking the cloths out.

I did not replace the moisture sensor metal sensor. Just cleaned it. Now not sure what is the solution Research shows it could be dryer sensor or board or impeller cleaning. Is replacing moisture senor help?

Thanks,
RT

Hi RT, I usually advise people to use rubbing alcohol on a cloth to clean the moisture sensor bar. Sanding it may have damaged it, if it wasn't faulty beforehand, but no worries you didn't know.:)

Here's the moisture sensor bar for your model:
