Just purchased a new washer and dryer with steam options (LG models WM4500 and DLEX4500) and I wanted to ask about the y-connector they include to make the water inlet connection to the dryer. It's plastic instead of brass and I was wondering if it's okay?
The main reason I ask is that the delivery came with free installation but the installer told me he couldn't install the inlet hose for the steam dryer because he wasn't given the y-connector. I showed him the one that came with and he said they don't like to use those. I was given a credit if I completed the install myself but I don't want to put an inferior connector on. Thanks
