Hi to all, I just bought this model at a Best Buy outlet, its the gas version, and the first load dried just fine, but when I put a second load the dryer didn't heat at all. I went through all the tips, resetting the thermal switch, cleaning the vents, using a different vent hose, and the switch still trips.

I took the dryer to the store, the gave me the exact same model and after installation I got exactly the same problem; first load worked perfect, second load no heat at all.

This tells me that its either an installation issue or maybe the model is a faulty one.

One more question, I have seen all the videos about the diagnostics and all the LG dryers on those videos have 3 digit display, this particular model have only 2 digit display. The first codes that I get are 01, L1, 71, 88 and I have not found any list to trouble shoot these codes.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

That sounds like a possible vent restriction in the exhaust hose/pipe that goes to the outside of your house. How long is your vent run? Have you check where it vents to the outside for lint clogs or something blocking the vent?

I don't have the tech. data sheet or service manual for this model, and without those I don't know either. Sorry.

I've check everything and theres no restrictions, I even went from a flexible hose to a hard tube and got the same results.

The vent run is 28 inches.

Does it make a difference where the vent goes outside? because in my house the opening is at ground level therefore the vent hose runs slightly above the where the gas intake is.

That should be ok.

Then I'm puzzled too why two NEW dryers are doing that exact same thing. Only thing you can do now is go back to the store and ask for a different brand or have LG come out and see why this is happening.
