Hi Everyone,
I just read on another site that GE refrigerators have thicker insulation than Whirlpool, is this true? I need to purchase a new refrigerator and was thinking of getting a
Whirlpool, but would consider the GE. Since the techs on this site work on them, I was wondering your opinion?

Thanks in advance for your response and time,
Gina

Hi,

Neither have more insulation that I have heard of.
Something that might help...

JMO! I would personally choose a WLP or GE.

Thanks so much Jeff. I appreciate your expertise! My 1st choice is Whirlpool! Thanks for the link! I have done extensive research it all becomes confusing reading the reviews.

I only mention this because in another forum, they stated that GE had thicker doors?

Only worry about thicker doors is wear and tear on hinges or such.
Thicker or deeper doors could allow for larger items like 2L pop bottles or a gallon milk jug.

OK, thank you! I think they were more referring to them having more insulation rather than deeper bins for gallons etc! But it does make sense with
the wear and tear on the hinges!
