The control board said the motor was the problem.:)

So you must have a faulty control board giving false error codes.:disgust:

Any update on this? I have the same thing happening.

GE profile DPVH880EJ2WW electric version getting E12 Drum error.

I Checked the drum bearing it looks good but the dryer runs for 25mins then stops I press start button and it goes for 5secs then stops again. If I wait 15mins it will go another 25mins then stop again. It seems to be a motor overheating issue. I see other people replaced the motor and it didn’t fix the issue. Let me know what worked. Thanks

Yes, when it does that its usually that main control board.

Here's the main control board for your model:
Control Board WE4M426


You may want to look at what popman said and did in posts #12 and #14 here:
He said the relay on that main control board was loose and put some epoxy putty for support and that fixed it. Unplug your dryer first if you decide to try that first.
