My problem-

The dryer runs continuously when door is closed. When the door is opened, the dryer stops but the timer is clicking and running. when you close door it starts without pushing to start button. This occurred a couple months ago, then stopped by itself. Lately, though, my wife has found the dryer running by itself.

Any ideas?

thanks

Hi,

Your push-to-start button has gone bad and welded itself together internally, you will need a new one, you can order it here:
Part#3395382
Push to start switch

Easy to install, just take the back console access panel off then you can get to it. Unplug your dryer first of course before changing that switch. Then remove the 2 wires and mark then down on paper were they connect to, then pull the knob off, then twist that clip assembly and the whole switch comes off.
