Model GGW9200LW1 - DRIVE MOTOR WILL NOT START. I can turn it by hand either way but it wont start. I can hear the relay in the top left click in when the start button is pressed. It beeps once like normal but no start. Ran control panel LED diagnostics and all check out fine. Individual tests of door switch, belt switch and thermal fuse all check out good. The motor test shows 1.8 ohms on both sets of readings. The manual says readings should be between 2.4 -3.6 and 2.4-3.8 ranges. Over 4 is bad but no info for under range....So I don't know if its the motor or the control board. I am not real confident in my motor test but I know everything else checked out fine. Any ideas would be appeciated!

Its the control board thats bad then if the door switch and thermal fuse are fine.

Here's the electronic control board for your model you can order:
Main Control Board 8546219 Order now for same day shipping. 365 day return policy. RepairClinic.com

You can return it if you install it and it didn't fix it for a full refund within 365 days.

Here is the online repair manual for the Whirlpool Duet dryer:
http://www.applianceblog.com/manuals/Duetdry.pdf
Give it time to download.

It shows how to get access to the control board on page 4-2 through 4-4.

Unplug or turn the breaker off to your dryer first.

That was it Jake! Runs like a charm. One last thing. The manual says to install the drum with the "clip toward the front" but that is opposite of the way it came out (I can see the wear mark from the belt to verify that). I installed it with the clip to the front but will that affect anything? I also noticed the shiny metal strips on the side of the drum and not sure if their orientation is important.

Thanks again,

I'm not sure what clip you are referring to.

But for 20 years I have reinstalled the drum the exact same way it came out.

Me too! As for the clip...it is shown on page 4-13 of the manual you have posted (duetdry). I will be making a donation to keep your forum going. :)

Ok, I see that clip now. Well, that is interesting to say the least, either thats an error in the repair manual or they changed the design of the drum, so just put the drum back in the same way it came out and it should be fine.
