Hello,
I'm new here and was hoping that someone could help identify the problem with my dryer. It is making a very loud vibrating noise while it runs.
It works well - continues for the full cycle and dries clothes properly, it's just extremely loud while doing so.
Any ideas?

Hi Keith,

We would need the model number of your dryer first, the model number tag should be located inside the door.

Sounds like either something in the blower wheel or the motor bearing is bad.

Here's the video that shows you how to access the motor, but you don't need to remove the motor, just the front bulkhead to get access to the blower wheel, unplug your dryer first!

Here's the motor for your model, if needed:

I would check the blower wheel itself for damage or making sure something is not in the blower tunnel itself. That noise sounds like the blower is rubbing on something or broken.

Thank you both - the video was extremely helpful. The blower was caked solid with lint - I cleaned it and it works smooth as glass now!!
