Hi everyone,

I have a Samsung dryer that is about 6 years old. The model is DV42H5400EW/A3. It started to make a squealing noise. I replaced all 4 rollers, the belt, and the idler pully. Now it makes more of a rattling noise. When I disconnect the belt the blower and motor do not make any noise. When I put the belt back in place and run it the noise starts again. I will attach a video. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Looks like the belt and Idler pulley are the wrong ones, why did you get your parts at? Do the part numbers match these below?

Here's the belt for your model(Video Included):

Here's the Idler Pulley for your model(Video Included):

That's a aftermarket kit, it will not work properly on your model as you can see.

Order the OEM belt and OEM Idler pulley and OEM rollers and it will work perfect!

Here's the drum roller for your model(Your model takes 4 drum rollers, so I'd order 4 drum rollers(Video Included):
Drum Support Roller & Axle DC97-16782A

The noise started as a squealing sound when the dryer started. Then eventually it made a similar sound to what it is making now. After that I replaced the said parts. Thanks for the input

Yes, I know the sound its making, the problem is that aftermarket kit.

If you return that aftermarket kit and get your money back and order the OEM parts I posted above your dryer will sound and run perfect again with no squealing sound and no squeaking sound and no rattling.

I've replaced hundreds of these same parts for my customers in the last 34 years and all worked perfect, ONLY because I always order OEM parts.:)

Hello again, I started it up again. The dryer completely stopped after about 15 seconds the first time. This time it ran a little longer. Is there a reason it would have stopped? All related to the after market parts? Just curious. Thanks again.

Yup, return the aftermarket parts.

It was not stopping before you replaced the aftermarket parts, was it?

Ok Mike, let us know how it goes after you get the new OEM parts installed, you will delightfully be surprised to have a normal sounding dryer again.:)
