Read a few similar threads where you recommend a new main control board, but my 5-minute google search for that part (assuming I found the right one) puts the price tag at $180 - so I would love to have some confidence that I am buying the right part....

So - no lights on the touch panel, reset the circuit breaker, checked power where it comes into the dishwasher (120v), even removed the panel on the bottom where it detects that the thing has overflowed (my last dishwasher was super sensitive about that...) and cleaned those things off - no luck.

What do I check next before I just start replacing parts? I can't even find a good schematic for this thing...

I wasn't able to locate any service manual or tech data sheet information on this model, sorry.

I was able to locate 2 threads that's similar to your model that had this same problem, check your control panel circuit board assembly for any burnt spots on it first, like I mention in this thread:

Here's the control panel circuit board assembly for your model: DD97-00609D

Here's the other thread, and the main control board fixed it:

Here's the main control board for your model: DD92-00059G Unfortunately, that's no longer available from the factory.

Hi Jake - thanks for the info. So - since the last post, I have replaced the MCB, no joy. Also replaced the button panel, based on some other similar threads I found (not sure if it was here or elsewhere... ) - but with the same effect. Nothing. Still dead as a doornail. While I had the door apart though, I saw the little mechanism that detects if the door is closed. I took a look at it, and saw how it works. It looks to be in order mechanically - but I thought to test it with a multimeter, going on the theory that a continuity check should have it either open or closed when the little switch is depressed. (The plug coming off of it only has two wires...) However, there was no continuity either with the switch depressed or without - could this be the culprit? (I mean, before I order another replacement for a perfectly good part...) :)

OK - so my question about the door closer switch is now purely academic. I would still like to know the answer - but just out of curiousity.

The answer to my dishwasher problem was the button panel - AND to check behind my teenage helper who flipped the breaker switch off before I started work and then instead of flipping it back on when I was done - flipped a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT BREAKER OFF.

So yeah - once I got actual electricity to the dishwasher with the new button panel installed, it is now happily washing a load of dishes. 🙃

So - if you want to answer the question posed above about the door closer switch just to satisfy my curiosity, that would be cool. Otherwise - consider me a satisfied blog reader. Thanks!

Excellent, good job.(y)

One of my helpers years ago did the same thing. LOL I was going nuts too!

That's a good question, but I really don't know the answer to that. Hopefully another tech. can shed some light on that door switch.

I'm having this identical problem on the same model. Can you tell which part fixed your issue?
Was it the control panel circuit board assembly for your model: DD97-00609D
OR
Was it the main control board for your model: DD92-00059G

Hi @klawrence2

He said it was the control panel circuit board assembly: DD97-00609D that fixed it:
