Hi, troubleshooting Electrolux ICON SxS refrigerator.

Open the freezer door and lights turn on. Everything on the freezer side is good, buttons function, ice and water works fine. It's cold.

Open the refrigerator door and lights stay off. Temperature is good. The control panel shows no sign of life, the indicator lights on panel are off and any button pressing provides no results.

It seems to run fine without the control panel. I want to unplug it and try to reset anything but am worried it may not restart. What's your expert opinion, replace control? Thanks in advance.

The magnetic door switch is part of the control board. It sounds like the switch is stuck open. Sometimes you can break it free with a magnet. If not, replace the board. You'll see it marked SW1 on the back of the board.

I just noticed that board is currently out-of-stock at RepairClinic.

But in-stock here:

Stuck reed switch

Thanks for the help. I unplugged it and disassembled the housing. Tried a magnet on the front and back of the board and could hear a faint click so I reassembled and we're back in business!
