On the third clean cycle (150 wash cycles) of my relatively new washing machine, water began to leak from the bottom of the washer. I pulled the back access panel off and saw that it was coming from somewhere close to the dispenser housing. I assumed the dispenser-to-tub hose blew so I pulled the top and dropped the hose. The hose looked perfect so I thought it may have just been a loose connection.

I placed the hose back on and ensured the tension was proper. I ran the wash cycle and it continued to leak. With the top off, I was able to locate exactly where the water was coming out. It was the lower dispenser housing right against the side wall of the washer. I pulled the entire dispenser housing out and found that this particular section of the dispenser housing is open as if to allow air into the unit.

Further, there is a plastic scoop directly below this section at the bottom of the washer as though the machine was built with leakage at this particular place in mind. Now, I am at a loss as to what is actually wrong and what to do about it. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time and thoughts.

Hi,

I have not run into this issue as of yet to tell you how to fix it.

Since its still under the 1 yr. warranty contact Electrolux to come out at 877-435-3287 to come out for free and fix it for you.

I'll give a call and see what shakes out. I have no idea how to prove when it was purchased though... Guess I should have kept the receipt. Thanks for your thoughts @Jake

They usually go by the serial number of the washer to determine the age.:)

I've got the same exact issue. Did you ever find a fix? So annoying when you pay 1000 for a washer. For that much money it should not be doing this.
