Is it to ditch my LG EIFLS60LT front load washer?

last month the washer started making a lot of noise, and my local repair guy came out and said the re-circulating pump was starting to go out. He also said that it wasn’t necessary to replace it since the machine will work fine without it.

now the washing machine isnt draining. Sounded like the pump tried to go on but failed. I didn’t catch the error code.

I can’t find the drain pump and filter to begin troubleshooting and think I found an old YouTube video showing multiple steps involved in accessing the drain pump- steps that far exceed my abilities.

when was this washer manufacture? 2014?

Is it time to replace it or should I pay the repairman to return again to make sure it’s not something easy?

Kinda true, not critical but an important part of the washer.

You might be able to get at the pump through the opening in the base.
Most times we have to remove the top and front panals to access it.

#67 should be circulation pump

Is it time to replace it

Once the cost of repair gets over 50% of the cost of replacing the washer....we suggest replacing it.
If the cost of repair is under 50% of the cost of replacing the washer....we suggest repairing it.

Thanks Jeff… yes it is Electrolux… last digit is a 1.
it sits on a drawer. There is no visible access to pump or its filter On sides or front. Does it have a filter that can be accessed and cleaned?

There is a filter in the entrance of the hose that carries the water from the tubs to the drain pump.
# 40 is the filter.

I see no access then without taking the top and front panals off.
