In Feb 2019, we had a three-season room put on the back of our house. The electrician put the room on its own breaker box, so there is nothing else drawing current.

Last week, I purchased a Frigidaire FAD704DWD dehumidifier. It works very well so far, EXCEPT when I empty the water bucket and reinsert it, then circuit breaker trips. This has happened twice.
It does not happen when the unit is turned on by pressing the POWER switch.

Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Hi,

FAD704DWD
I think that is missing a digit or two.

It works very well so far, EXCEPT when I empty the water bucket and reinsert it, then circuit breaker trips
Guess...A little water is spilling onto the float switch??
Tried turning off the unit before pulling the bucket out?
Tried maybe unplugging the unit before pulling the bucket out?

Since it will not trip the breaker removing the bucket and reinstalling it, then powering the unit up after you have dumped the bucket will not trip the breaker...water dripping onto the float switch, float bouncing tripping the switch on and off, on and off might also trip the breaker.

Let us know what you find.
