• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

FGBM15WCVFB Frigidaire Microwave & Convection Not Preheating

Jul 28, 2022
Fresno, CA
Model Number
Less than 1 year
Barely used FGBM15WCVFB Frigidaire Microwave & Convection appliance convection feature not working.
I am following the instructions as stated in the owner's manual yet the appliance is not preheating nor completing a convection cycle. In fact, what I see on the appliance screen is not matching completely of what the manual is showing.
I would start the preheating cycle, and then a few seconds in, it would stop and show "E - 01" on the screen. I am assuming that's an error message, however, the manual doesn't provide a description for what "E - 01" means. The manual doesn't even have a troubleshooting section.
The microwave feature is working as is heating food, it's just the convection features.
Any thoughts would be great.

Since its under a year old, contact Frigidaire at 1-800-374-4432 to have a tech. come out under warranty. Don't try to fix it yourself under warranty or they can void your warranty, then your really up a creek, because we don't have the service manual for this model either. Too new!
