Hello! Stovetop burners work, so fuel supply is good. Oven burner bottom igniter glows, but maybe a orange, not red. Visual inspection shows ash on igniter. No flames from bottom burner after 2 minutes. Slight scent of natural gas odor after it fails to light. Reading other posts on here, I suspect it is the igniter, since the oven has been demonstrating slow speed of preheat cycle, and frequent "woof" sounds as a larger than normal amount of gas flows through the value after being restricted.

Top broiler has same issues. Top broiler igniter will glow, orange, but gas value does not appear to be opening to produce flow and flames.

Does bottom igniter also control gas valve for broiler?

So before I replace the bottom igniter, I am asking if that also controls the top broiler gas valve?
If not, should I plan on replacing both igniters? $$$
Of if it is not a high probability that both igniters would die both at the same time, could it be the gas control value that is faulty?

I have not yet done the current draw test on either igniter, I wanted to ask the question about both igniters first, I did not find any posts on the forums which described both bottom and broiler being fed by the same gas valve circuit.

Thanks anyone...

No

Yes.

 Not quite. Gas was released into the oven without being ignited. When it finally did ignite there was a small explosion. It is VERY dangerous to allow a gas range to continue in that fashion! ⚠️

Ignitors seem to fail much more often in the humid summer weather. And since they appear to have even been malfunctioning previously, they likely needed to be replaced even before now.

I have not yet done the current draw test on either igniter,

That's the only way to determine their functioning absolutely but the ignitors are usually 85% cause of such problems or higher. It is a very good bet they are responsible.
