Have a Frigidaire FGGS3065PFE. Bought it used. Converted to propane. Turned down the oven orifice like the manual said and it worked fine. Turned down the broiler orifice and didn’t light.

Ignitor lights. Decided after reading forums it might be the ignitor anyway so I ordered a new one and installed. Glows super bright now. Still no gas flowing.

Control panel looks to be working. Shows broiler, the temp and the oven fan kicks on.

Removed broiler orifice and it appears patent. Air flows through it.

Tested for continuity on the safety valve and it has continuity 01.5 on 200 setting of my multimeter. Wondering of this is the issue as it appears to have separate safety vales

Oven works. Range works. Broiler won’t light. No gas smell.

Any other ideas?

Thanks

I don't know what those numbers are nor what they should be. The proper way to test such a system is by measuring the amperage of the ignitor circuit. With the ignitor like used in your system the amperage draw should measure 3-2 to 3.6 amps. If the ignitor is drawing that amperage but the gas valve isn't opening, the valve is likely defective and needs to be replaced.

If it is a brand new ignitor I would assume it is drawing the correct current in which case the gas valve is likely required.

The only other possibility I can think of is a blockage in the gas line to the broil burner.

Many thanks!

The numbers were from the continuity test on the broiler safety valve not the indicator. I disconnected the two wires running into the broiler safety valve and tested it on the 200 ohm setting and got those numbers. When I put it on the audible continuity setting it beeps.

My buddy is bringing me an amp meter to test the ignitor, but since I just bought it new I suspect its good.

I was also thinking the valve at this point and will order one.

That would be a resistance test, not continuity, although any resistance does indicate continuity.

I do not know what resistance the valve should have and it wouldn't necessarily indicate the valve was 'good' regardless. If however it had infinite resistance it would definitely indicate defective.

Yes, check the amperage draw on the ignitor circuit. I agree, a new ignitor is unlikely to be the cause.
